Join me and 5 other people in making a cozy Blanket Doll and wee little Pocket Doll. Perfect 'first dolls', these are wonderful for babies. You will be the hit of every baby shower once you know how to make these :)
We will make two dolls together. You can choose the velour color you would like for your blanket doll and the skin tone for the head. We'll go over rolling the head and stitching the doll together. It's a simple and easy doll to make, so you really don't need too much experience - if you can thread a needle you can do this. You'll spend three hours on this and leave with 2 dolls, doll pattern, some needles and extra wool to make more dolls at home (because you will get addicted to making these!)
Workshop will be held in my studio located just off Commercial Drive at 1723 Grant Street on Sunday November 6th from noon - 3pm. There is plenty of street parking close by and we are close to all sorts of transit.
Please indicate in the comments (of your order) what skin tone you'd like (sun kissed or dark tan) and what color velour you'd like! The pocket doll will be made with fabrics I have available.
Thank you again! I really enjoyed your workshop making the adorable Blanket Dolls and as a bonus making a Pocket Doll, couldn’t have spent my Sunday afternoon any better, in the company of such friendly ladies. I’m excited to be able now to make my own sweet little dolls for family and friends. Your shop is so warm and inviting can’t wait to go back. You are truly a doll yourself!!
The Blanket Doll (and pocket doll) Workshop led by Christina at Bamboletta doll shop was SUCH a great experience!! I am not very experienced with sewing and only mildly crafty and I was able to follow along no problem and loooove the final products. Such a fun, relaxing atmosphere just chatting and sewing with other women in the cutest little cottage. I could have stayed all day! I left with my dolls, a doll makers needle, sewing patterns for both dolls, clear detailed instructions and some little extras in supplies. I can't wait to make more of these dolls and do more workshops too. I highly recommend this workshop!
